About Us
Love Potion Camp is a community that has been forming, growing, and evolving over
the past 10 years. Last year was our second year as a registered theme
camp and the choice to re-register was a huge success allowing us to
spread our Love to even more of our Burning Man community. We are a
very diverse community based on art, creativity, whimsy, fun, family,
positive vibes, and 'Luurve.' We are a non-sexual space (aka not a
play-party camp) but cuddling and BIG hugs are welcomed and encouraged.
Our philosophy is based on mindfulness and exploration, on support and
independence, on creation and evolution. We hold each and every one of
our members responsible for themselves, their guests, and for being a
bigger, better, more beautiful being to add to the community as a
whole. Our members are active in the community on every level from DPW,
to cafe volunteers, to greeter volunteers. Some of us are total hippies
but most of us are tech-geeks, project managers, artists, parents,
contractors, DJ's and doctors/nurses. Collectively, we are
environmentally, emotionally, faithfully, and fun-lovingly conscious.
We
are a very welcoming and interactive camp. We offer space to chill and
seek refuge from the potentially harsh weather. We offer interaction
with our art projects: the Incardia
Vere (Did we say climbable art structure???), The Flower (Illuminated shade structure), and The Love Potion Rocket Art Car (Spaceship
people transporting grandness). In addition to our art projects, we
also offer interaction and entertainment via trampoline, tesla coil
demos, and wickedly sharp humor. As icing on our
Burning-Man-Theme-Camp-Cake, we offer our famous Love
Potions to guests and the community. These organic, homeopathic, herbal
remedies offer love and healing, not to mention taste amazing!
It
is our goal this year to continue our efforts of love, fun and good
energy from years past and grow them further. All this, while having a
heck of a good time.
